Warri S’west DTHA tells youths to shun party politics

Ahead of the 2019 general election, youths in Delta State have been advised to indulge in acts that would bring development to the state and the nation during the forth coming elections.

This advice was given by an aspirant for the Warri South West Delta State House of Assembly seat, Mr. Jude Akpodubakaye while addressing some youths in Warri South West constituency.

Mr. Jude Akpodubakaye who is contesting under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) said, youths in the state should wake up, be wise and disconnect themselves from being used by greedy politicians who care only about themselves and not about the general well-being of the masses.

He emphasized that; gone were the days when greedy politicians used youths to disturb election process and steal ballot boxes, just to win elections and dump the youths to their faith after winning.

Mr. Akpodubakaye enjoined youths to tell those kind of politicians to rather use their own children for such acts that inimical to societal development, adding that the days of ignorance among youths in the state were over, even as he charge the electorate to shun politicians who come to disturb them with the intention of buying their conscience with money during elections.

He admonished the youths on their rights, just as he commended President Muhammadu Buhari for signing the “Not Too Young To Rule Bill”, recently passed by the National Assembly. He called on the youths of the state to come out to aspire for leadership positions and to throw their full support for youths like himself who are vying for positions in the state.

Mr. Akpodubakaye said, one of his goals when voted into the State House of Assembly, come 2019, is to continue to encourage and help youths in Warri South West State Constituency in the area of educational advancement as he already has a good number of youths in the constituency under his educational scholarship scheme.
